Collaborative Workshop on Financing Solar Projects
October 30, 2025 | San Juan, Puerto Rico
PRGET celebrated a collaborative workshop focused on financing solar and energy storage projects in Puerto Rico, with support from Lawyers for Good Government, Fundación Agenda Ciudadana, and sponsorship from the Leon Lowenstein Foundation.
The workshop provided a space for organizations to examine how recent federal policy changes—including adjustments to tax incentives and the cancellation of grants and funding programs for renewables—are affecting the development of solar projects on the island. Participants included organizations planning, developing, or supporting solar projects, as well as credit unions, with the goal of sharing experiences, identifying opportunities for collaboration, and exploring viable financing strategies.
